Cut deep with the new Husqvarna K 650 Cut-n-Break

Cut deep at a lower cost. This is how you can sum up the benefits of the new Husqvarna power cutter K 650 Cut-n-Break. The cutter represents a new, unique method for deep cutting in concrete, brick and similar materials.

With the “cut and break-off” method, the user can cut to a depth of 400 mm with the new Husqvarna power cutter. “The major advantages with the K 650 Cut-n-Break are that it is easy to use, it is extremely versatile and it has a lower tool cost than a diamond chain saw. It has received an extremely positive response on the markets where it was launched during 2006,” says Håkan Aldén, Product Manager for power cutters.
The K 650 Cut-n-Break, which was launched during the second half of 2006 in the US, among other countries, won the first prize in the “General Construction Tools & Equipment” category and was also elected as the “Expert’s Choice” in the same category at the 2006 World of Concrete show. The K 650 Cut-n-Break is fitted with two blades. After having cut two grooves, you use a tool that is delivered with the cutter to break off the bit of concrete between the blades. You then continue cutting in stages through the material. The maximum cutting depth is 400 mm. “You can use it for major jobs, such as cutting pipes in pipe trenches and for window and door openings where you want to avoid over-cutting. But it also works superbly for applications like groove sawing,” says Håkan Aldén. “The K 650 Cut-n-Break is a clear example of our long-term investments in products that make the user’s job easier and more cost-effective.” The new Husqvarna power cutter is aimed primarily at smaller building contractors, the rental market and users such as electricians and plumbers.
